Meeting 2/5/2004
PRESENT: Chairman Peter Webster, Member Earle Jenkins, and School
Board Representative Martha Macomber
ABSENT: Member Breda Ryan and Select Board Representative Art Bartholomew
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM
MINUTES: The Minutes of the January 9 meeting were approved as written by a 2-0
vote in favor with School Board Representative Martha Macomber abstaining.
2004 School Budget: Martha Macomber brought us up to date on the school Budget. A
3% increase and no Bond. The School Board reduced the number and amount of
Capital Improvements and the cost will be included in their budget. They will use part of
the Bond Payment reduction next year to pay for the undone Capital items and the rest
to reduce their budget. Peter and Earle commended Martha and the Boards for their
efforts to keep their Budget to such a small increase.
2004 Warrant Articles: The Committee reviewed and voted to recommend Warrant
Articles #:3, 5, 6,10,11,12,13,14,15 and 16 for the March 10, 2004 Town Meeting.
2004 Budget Newsletter: Bread has written her article and the others will be done when
we get the data.
ADJOURNMENT: The Meeting was adjourned at 7:15PM.
