Regular Meeting - Call to Order & Approval of Minutes
Mr. Spencer called the meeting to order at 4:05 P.M. The minutes of November 15, 2011 were unanimously approved as corrected on a motion by Mrs. Whitmore and a second by Mr. Buckley.

Introduction to EB James – Director of Squam Lakes Association: Mr. James was not in attendance; Mr. Spencer will arrange his attendance for another meeting.

Correspondence Review
The Coolidge and Rockywold-Deephaven Shoreland permits were briefly discussed. Ms. Huff noted that Planning Board Site Plan review is required for changes to the cottages at Rockywold-Deephaven. Mrs. Whitmore expressed concern that the constant demolition and reconstruction of the historic cottages may jeopardize the status of the National Register application.

Old Business
Town Forest: Mr. Spencer will contact Mr. Stepp to determine the process for the survey.
Town Farm: Mr. Spencer provided an overview of his meeting with the Russell family. He and Mr. Larochelle gave a presentation of the possibilities for conservation of the property as well as a picture of the conservation activities of surrounding properties.
Joint Meeting with Ashland & Plymouth Commissions: The Commission is hoping for a joint meeting in the spring, sponsored by PSU; Mr. Spencer is organizing it.
Town Report Write-up: The Commission reviewed and edited the draft. It was agreed that Mr. Spencer will draft a brief questionnaire relative to vernal pool locations for those in attendance at town meeting.
Trail Brochures: Mr. Spencer will send word document files for editing by the members.

New Business
Proposed additions to Tax Maps: Cartographics has provided costs for additions to the maps: Prime Wetlands - $400; conservation Lands - $700. This would be a one-time cost to become current; adding other conservation properties would be approximately $100 - $200 per property. Discussion ensued relative to funding this expense. Mrs. Whitmore will make a presentation to the Board of Selectmen, requesting that they share one half of the cost.
Access to town properties via land near school: Mr. Spencer and Mr. Buckley will meet to start the process.
Report on the Squam Range meeting organized by SLCS: Mr. Spencer provided an overview of the discussion about conservation efforts of the Squam Range and the Beebe River in Campton.

Other Business:
Meeting Dates: The list of dates was reviewed and approved.
Department of Environmental Services: Mr. Spencer noted that due to state and federal loss of funding, there may be more staffing and service changes at DES which may result in a downshifting of duties to towns.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 5:08 P.M.

Respectfully Submitted,

Wendy J. Huff
Secretary
