Meeting Minutes
The minutes for the Oct 24 meeting were accepted as amended.  The minutes for the Oct 31 meeting were accepted as amended.

Issues and Concerns
The cleaning person hired by the Town is no longer coming to clean the library.  The library account was being charged for two hours of cleaning per week, but were getting only 1 hour of cleaning time from her.  She had been told by the Town Manager to not spend much time cleaning at the library.  It has been decided that a new cleaning person be hired for the library as soon as possible.  This person will be paid directly by the library and will work two hours per week.  Wendell will make sure that the library books are no longer being charged for the Town cleaning person (who continues to clean other Town buildings).

Steven Solberg of Holderness School set up the original library website with his students.  For three years he was paying the $300 per year fee for maintaining the website on the Internet.  Sandy Ray sent him a thank you note last March when the trustees became aware of his generosity.  It was unclear to the trustees as to whether Mr. Solberg should be reimbursed or if this was a donation.   A phone call will be made to Mr. Solberg to clarify this.

Directors Report
The trustees asked that comparisons to the previous year be included when Suzanne presents the number of materials circulated report.

Fifty students have participated in computer classes.  Sandra Perkins has asked that a version of Photo Shop purchased for the library computers.
The library is now a member of Tech Soup.  A virus came into the library system from that source.

Amazon.com allows purchasers to earn points toward future purchases but does not offer purchase accounts.  Suzanne will apply for a credit card to cover book-purchasing costs with amazon.com.
The new shades over the computers have been installed.

The Library Santa Sale will be at the River Edge Marina on December 1st .

Financial Report Discussion
Movable shelving will be purchased to replace the plastic crates that now house the children's book collection.
Sandra Perkins used her own money for advertising the computer classes and will need to be reimbursed.
The computer that crashed has been replaced and paid for.
Year-end moneys will be applied to the library collection.  The trustees will have a collection workshop on Wednesday, December 5, at 8:30 AM.  The workshop will focus on what the library collection needs are and what direction the library would like to work toward.

Other
Wendell Broom has made a donation of $250 to the library.

Sandra Perkins, Larry and Wendell are working on a new computer accounting system for the 2008 budget year.

Larry will call David Provan about our expansion project progress.

Bob Rothschild has been emailed about underwriting the computer class expenses.  Approximately $2000 per year is needed for underwriting.

The Library Trustees will meet with the Holderness Select Board on December 3rd to discuss the 2008 library budget.

The library trustees will discuss Barry Gaw's presentation at the next board meeting.

Date of next meeting
The Holderness Board of Trustees will meet at 8:30 AM, December 12, 2007 at the Holderness Library.

Respectfully submitted by,
Kay Hanson, Secretary for the Holderness Library Trustees
