Meeting Minutes

In Attendance:
Wendell Broom, Sandy Ray, Larry Webster, Kay Hanson

The Minutes of the January 14 meeting were accepted as presented.

Financial Report
The financial reports will be run though the Quick Books program.  Larry and Wendell will be meeting with the Town book keeper tomorrow to learn how to generate a full chart of accounts for our meetings.

There will be a meeting at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2008 to plan for presenting the library budget needs to the Budget Committee.  Library use traffic accounts, collection circulation numbers, and other compiled statistics will be presented to the Budget Committee.

Larry presented his findings about copy machines.  The trustees voted to purchase a copy machine, a Xerox Work Center M20i from Conway Office Products of Nashua. In addition the library will pay an annual fee for maintenance services.

Book Ordering
The library will continue to order books from the New York Times best seller list.  Lydia Miller will be asked to order the books through Baker and Taylor.

Posting the Library Director Job
Larry will post the job in the newspapers.  Sandy will post the job on many library websites. Kay will post the job on Craigslist.com and on Monster.com if the cost is reasonable.

During the interim, a spot on the trustee meeting agenda will be reserved for Lydia Miller to discuss any issues and concerns she may have while running the library.

The trustees voted to accept Bob Braymen's donation of a TV.  The bookcases he has also offered will be looked at and accepted if they seem to be something the library can use.

The next meeting of the trustees will be on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 8:30 AM to discuss the library director job description.

Respectfully submitted by,
Kay Hanson, Secretary for the Holderness Library Board of Trustees
