Board of Trustees Meeting
February 4, 2008
Minutes
In attendance:
Library Trustees: Kay Hanson, Sandy Ray, Wendell Broom, Larry Webster
The minutes of the January 22 and January 28 meetings were accepted as amended.
Summer reading materials need to be ordered and applied for. The theme for this summer's program is "G'Day for Reading".
The annual State Library Statistics Report needs to be compiled. Lydia will be asked to help with this.
The trustees made suggestions and amendments to the Library Director Job Description drafted by Wendell. Wendell will circulate an updated version to trustees via email.
The Building Team will join the Library Trustees at a meeting with the Holderness Town Budget Committee on Thursday night, February 7, 2008. They will be asking for an additional $10,000 to be added to the library 2008 budget. As the job of library director is being posted, this budget increase is needed to attract a formally trained person for this position.
Larry will order the new copy machine for the library this week.
A beekeepers association has asked to use the library meeting space for their evening meetings. The trustees agreed to offer them the use of the space.
Sandy Ray has a lockable file cabinet to donate to the library. The cabinet will be used for trustee secure materials.
Sandy will put together a sample trustee manual to give to incoming trustees.
