Holderness Recreation Board Meeting
December 4, 2006

1) Minutes of October 30, 2006 were reviewed and accepted.
2) The Board met with the Selectmen and a few members of the Budget Committee to review the 2007 proposed budget.
3) Wendy reported that she is working on initiating many new programs for the winter. She just started working 30 hour weeks in preparation. She is also on the lookout for grant funding as she did last year.
4) Day Camp - we did not have time to devote to a discussion about the possible changes to the Day Camp program to accommodate the likely unavailability of the use of HCS in 2007.
5) Correspondence - we authorized the giving of two one-week camper scholarships to the HCS Holiday Fair fundraising program. Also, Wendy reported that Plymouth Parks and Recreation has been in contact with her letting her know that while no policy changes are presently "in the works" some of their programs (soccer and other field sports in particular) are heavily attended by Holderness residents. The implication seems to be that there is some pressure to reduce that number in favor of increasing participation of Plymouth residents.
6) Other - no other business was conducted
