The town treasurer, an appointed official, is responsible for all financial matters involving the town, including the establishment of controls to insure the protection of all town assets. He reviews and approves all income and expenditures, and insures that funds are available to meet commitments on a timely basis. The treasurer is also responsible for the prudent investment of town funds.
